U13 to U18 Summer Soccer Program


U13 to U18 Summer Program (Players born 2003 to 2009)

Development Emphasis: Game awareness, individual skill development and athleticism within a competitive league environment.

Genders: Separate female and male teams.

Season Length: 16-20 weeks (1st two weeks are tryouts) from late April to early September depending on the team.

Game Day: (Game days are subject to change)

Monday - U13 Girls Div1; U13 Boys Div 2

Tuesday - U15 Boys & Girls Div 1

Wednesday - U18 Girls Div 1; U15 Girls Div 2

Thursday - U13 Girls Div 2; U13 Boys Div 1; U18 Boys Div 1

Leadership: Each team has a head coach and manager as well as possibly assistant coaches and/or a trainer. The Club provides both administrative and technical support to teams through the Club’s Administrator and Technical Director.

Overview: Tryouts in late April/early May lead to placement on a Div 1 or Div 2 team. That team practices at least once per week and plays once per week throughout June, July and early August. Games would take place in Cornwall as well as various locations across PEI. In mid to late August, playoffs occur at each age and division level with championship games usually taking place the last weekend of August or first weekend of September.

Provided: Jersey.

Requirements: Purchase and wear black shorts and black socks. Shinpads covered by soccer socks. Cleats. No jewelry or wearable devices (with the exception of medical). Bring a personalized water bottle that is not to be shared with other players.

Junior Goalkeeper Program (Players born 2010, 2011 and 2012)

Development Emphasis: Footwork, positioning, catching and basic diving.

Genders: Co-ed.

Season Length: 8 weeks (June 13, 27, July 4, 11, 18, 25, August 1 and 8). 1 session per week. 60 minutes.

Day: Sundays 2:00PM - 3:00PM 

Leadership: The Club provides curriculum/session plans. Training sessions are run by a certified goalkeeping coach.

Overview: Junior keepers will be introduced to the basics of goalkeeping in order to help grow their confidence and bravery needed to guard the goal.

Requirements: Purchase and wear program training jersey. Goalkeeper gloves. Shinpads covered by soccer socks. Cleats. No jewelry or wearable devices (with the exception of medical). Bring a personalized water bottle that is not to be shared with other players.

Fee: $60




U13 Stretch Soccer Program (Players born 2008 & 2009)

 

To participate in this program players must first be registered for the U13 Summer Soccer program.

 

Development Emphasis: Individual skills and athleticism while challenging players to push their comfort zones.

Genders: Co-ed.

Season Length: 8 weeks (June 13, 27, July 4, 11, 18, 25, August 1 and 8). 1 session per week. 60 minutes.

Day: Sundays 2:00PM - 3:00PM

Leadership: The Club provides curriculum/session plans. Training sessions are run by the Club’s Technical Director.

Overview: This program’s concern is a player’s willingness to get better, not their current ability level. Besides improved individual performance, an added outcome is to teach players a set of skills to help them become more effective learners (e.g., growth mindset, taking more risks, accepting failure’s role in success, being more curious).

Provided: Training jersey.

Required: Purchase and wear program training jersey. Purchase and wear black shorts and black socks. Shinpads covered by soccer socks. Cleats. Bring a personalized water bottle that is not to be shared with other players.

Senior Goalkeeper Program (Players born 2006, 2007, 2008 & 2009)

Development Emphasis: Footwork, positioning, catching, diving, tipping and breakaways.

Genders: Co-ed.

Season Length: 8 weeks (June 13, 27, July 4, 11, 18, 25, August 1 and 8). 1 session per week. 60 minutes.

Day: Sundays 1:00PM - 2:00PM

Leadership: The Club provides curriculum/session plans. Training sessions are run by a certified goalkeeping coach.

Overview: Senior keepers will progress their basic skills of goalkeeping towards an intermediate level in order to help grow their confidence and bravery needed to guard the goal.

Requirements: Purchase and wear program training jersey. Goalkeeper gloves. Shinpads covered by soccer socks. Cleats. No jewelry or wearable devices (with the exception of medical). Bring a personalized water bottle that is not to be shared with other players.
