Temperatures with humidex at 40 degrees celsius or higher, are considered dangerous for children. This is based on guidelines assembled by Canada Soccer, our national governing body. PEI Soccer may choose to cancel at a slightly lower humidex.
If it is a game, PEI Soccer will make that call and inform team staff who will then inform their team participants. If it is practice, the responsibility lies with the team staff to inform their team members of their plan. The Club recommends that all teams adhere to the following guideline for heat:

If your child's program is not cancelled and you are concerned about their safety, you do not have to attend. The choice is always yours.
